The Indonesia Electronic Customs Declaration is a mandatory form
that all passengers must complete before arrival. The form was created to notify the
Customs Officer of personal or excess goods being brought into the country.
When completing the e-CD form, be sure to provide accurate and
up-to-date information about yourself, your travel plans, and your passport details.
Remember, your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your planned entry
date into Indonesia.
The Indonesian customs authorities require all travelers bound
for Indonesia to complete a short Customs Declaration form. It doesn’t matter if you’re
importing goods or not or whether you pay income tax here in Bali, you must complete
this form.
The Indonesia Electronic Declaration can be done a maximum of 3
days before arrival in Indonesia.
You will be asked for your name, passport number, nationality,
date of birth, occupation, residential address, port of arrival, flight number, and date
of arrival in addition to the questions related to declaration or goods and/or funds.
After filling in the online form, you will receive a QR code
which will be scanned by officers after you have collected your luggage, just before you
exit the airport building.
You will need to have all your luggage with you when you are presenting your Electronic
Declaration.
